Finger-paint Your
Face
Makeup artist Jasmine Dashti shows how to simplify a makeup routine by reducing it to one palette of three to five essential colors and your fingers. These colors can work for all skin tones.
Figure A--Brown, gold, champagne, white and pink are the five colors of the palette that can be blended together or used by themselves to create a beautiful look for the whole face. All these colors can be used on any part of the face--the key is that they are cream-based, which breaks down with the heat of your fingertips from body temperature. * Note: Always be sure that your hands are properly washed before applying makeup.
Figure B--Apply gold or champagne color to the eyelid with your ring finger, which exerts the least amount of pressure and is small enough to reach the corners of the eye. Look for the skin tone to shine through, not for a full coverage mask of color. The more layers, the more intense the color, so you can build the color as you prefer. Apply and blend white color on the brow bone. This brings some highlight underneath the eyebrows and brings attention to the eyes.
Figure C--Pink or brown work well on the lips. By just dabbing the color on, without lip liner, you can cut a morning routine time in half by avoiding many brushes and products.
Figure D--For blush, use the brown to create a contour on the cheek. Start by the ear and dot the color down toward the nose. Take off the extra product from your finger, then blend down. This application creates the hollow of the cheekbone and allows it to stand out. Prior to purchasing, read the payment and shipping FAQ sheet.
