Correct face-washing technique
Steps:
-
Steam face with a hot, moist towel
before washing. Water that is too hot can be drying. This will open the pores
and prepare for a cleanser.
-
Apply cleanser (that best suits your
skin type) with the middle, ring, and pinky fingers, not the index
finger, because it is too strong. Rub upward in gentle motions. (Rubbing hard
will do more harm than good).
-
Take the steam towel and pat, don't rub,
the face to remove cleanser. Again, rubbing is far too abrasive for facial
skin.
-
Finish with a moisturizer to replenish
the natural oils that have been removed.
* Note: A toner during the day (applied on
top of makeup) will help keep the face fresh.
